Massage & Bodywork
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique.”

What to expect.
Congratulations! You’ve taken the initial steps toward feeling good in your own skin. This integration and awareness of the physical body is one that can unlock the mysteries of tension, restriction of movement, pain management among myriad other physical situations that inhabiting a body can involve. Knowledge is power! Receiving a massage is an excellent lesson where the primary subject is you! Most of my clients are seeking tools beyond those of allopathic medicine (prescription drugs and surgery) or as complimentary therapy in conjunction with what their doctor has recommended. A body that can move freely and function fully is one that can heal itself.
The most basic definition of therapeutic massage goes something like this; “The ethical and professional application of structured, therapeutic touch to benefit soft-tissue health, movement, posture and neurological patterns.” as defined by the Coalition of National Massage Therapy Organizations. The way in which these techniques are delivered are as vast and myriad as any art and science. We will discuss your goals and expectations before each session and every massage will be customized to fit your needs that day. Modalities include but are not limited to Deep Tissue massage, sports massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, prenatal/ postpartum massage, assisted stretching and more!
